Janine Gaëlle Dieudji is a curator whose practice brings together artists, institutions, and communities through exhibitions, public programs, and collaborative platforms that foster enduring cultural exchange.

Formerly Director of Exhibitions at MACAAL in Marrakech, she is the co-founder of The Recovery Plan, a Florence-based platform for cross-cultural research, dialogue and critical inquiry. From 2023 to 2025, she served as Curator at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, DC.

In 2025, Janine received the Koyo Kouoh Award at the Black Carpet Awards in Milan and was among the finalists shortlisted for the curation of the Italian Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale.

She has served as a juror for the Sovereign African Art Prize, the Civitella Ranieri Fellowship, the Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity, the FNB Art Prize, and currently serves on the Board of the Tyburn Foundation and the Advisory Circle for Public Programs at the House of European History.

Her writing has appeared in Phaidon's African Artists: From 1882 to Now, and Vitamin
C+: Collage in Contemporary Art, as well as in numerous exhibition catalogues and artists publications.
